Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is a major pathogenic bacterium responsible for bacterial foodborne diseases, making its rapid, specific, and accurate detection crucial. In this study, we develop ratiometric biosensor based on the recombinase polymerase amplification-clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats/CRISPR associated protein 12a (RPA-CRISPR/Cas12a) system Eu-metal–organic framework (Eu-MOF) fluorescent nanomaterials high-sensitivity of S. aureus, combining with RPA efficient isothermal amplification, sensor enhances specificity sensitivity by utilizing target activation CRISPR/Cas12a. The Eu-MOF serves dual function, providing stable red fluorescence as reference signal adsorbing FAM-labeled probes quenching, forming dual-signal that significantly reduces background interference. This design enables quantitative over wide range (7.9 × 100 to 7.9 108 CFU/mL) low limit 3 CFU/mL. Overall, these merits simplicity, rapid response, high sensitivity, specificity, offers promising method accurately evaluating contamination in food under complex substrate conditions.

Abstract Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), as a subclass of porous crystalline materials with unique structures and multifunctional properties, play pivotal role in various research domains. In recent years, significant attention has been directed toward composite based on MOFs, particularly MOF‐on‐MOF heterostructures. Compared to individual MOF materials, harness the distinctive attributes two or more different enabling synergistic effects allowing for tailored design diverse multilayered architectures expand their application scope. However, rational facile synthesis are principle challenging due structural diversity intricate interfaces. Hence, this review primarily focuses elucidating factors that influence interfacial growth, specific emphasis engineering heterogeneous reactions, which hybrids can be conveniently obtained by using pre‐fabricated precursors. These categorized internal external elements, encompassing inorganic metals, organic ligands, lattice matching, nucleation kinetics, thermodynamics, etc. Meanwhile, these intriguing offer wide range advantages fields, such adsorption, separation, catalysis, energy‐related applications. Finally, highlights current complexities challenges while providing forward‐looking perspective future directions.
