Abstract Luminescent materials are emerging promising tools for digital data encoding due to their reduced cost, facile reading, robustness, and durability. For this, the use of fluorescent systems that combine multicolor emission with sensitivity external stimuli will be highly desirable, as they can offer rewritable together enhanced encryption security storage density. Herein a novel strategy is pioneered reach this goal, which exploits temperature‐responsive properties mixtures regular fluorophores simple organic phase change (PCMs) such paraffins. By preparing diversity microcapsules these comprising different dyes PCMs, thermosensitive pixels prepared in low‐cost, straightforward, scalable manner exhibits dynamic behavior. These features capitalized fabricate pixel arrays perform two advanced operations: high‐security 3D information encryption, 4D storage.

An environmentally friendly smart ink was developed by incorporating fluorescein into functionalized poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanoparticles synthesized using an emulsifier-free emulsion copolymerization approach. The functional comonomers of 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA), acrylamide, hydroxyethyl methacrylate, and glycidyl in 10 wt % with respect to methyl were used obtain the colloidal PMMA nanoparticles. Functional groups latex characterized Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. Field emission scanning electron microscopy results showed that all have nearly spherical morphologies variations size surface smoothness due presence different comonomers. Ultraviolet–visible fluorescence spectra indicated fluorescein-doped containing DMAEMA comonomer had highest absorbance intensity. In alkaline media, turns a dianion, showing red shift increased UV–vis addition, inductive characteristics tertiary amine result enhancing conjugation molecules increasing intensities. Therefore, formulation applications securing documents fingerprints, encrypting banknotes money, detecting latent crafting anticounterfeiting paper, eventually providing optical detection indication scratches.
