Background: Stroke ranks as the second leading cause of death and third disability in adults worldwide. While an unhealthy diet is independent risk factor for stroke, its association with disordered eating behaviours on stroke remains overlooked. This exploratory study aimed to evaluate prevalence severity addictive-like patients their main vascular factors. Methods: First-ever minor or moderate ability complete self-report questionnaires were included. Addictive-like was assessed using Yale Food Addiction Scale 2.0 (YFAS 2.0). The variables interest were: (i) proportion meeting diagnosis food addiction (FA); (ii) FA symptoms count severity; (iii) profile severity. Their four factors (obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia diabetes) tested univariate multivariate analyses. Results: Over a 4-month period, 101 (mean (standard deviation (SD)), 62.8 (13.7) years; males: 60.4%) consecutively screened YFAS 2.0. Purpose To report the prevalence and risk factors of elder self-neglect (ESN) among community-dwelling older adults ( N = 604). Method The current cross-sectional study was conducted from July 2019 to October 2020 in Lanzhou City, China. ESN determined by Scale Elderly Self-Neglect, which evaluates five dimensions: (a) medical health care, (b) environmental sanitation personal hygiene, (c) mental health, (d) safety, (e) social engagement. Frailty assessed using Physical Phenotype scale. Participants were asked whether they had bothersome activity-limiting pain over past 1 month. Characteristics associated with identified through multiple linear regression analyses. Results Mean age participants 71.34 years SD 7.15 years), 255 (57.8%) female. 16.2%. Among dimensions ESN, care accounted for largest proportion (44%). Approximately 58% pre-frail 11.4% frail, 45% reported experiencing pain. Over the last decade, volumes of international studies have illuminated potential harms associated with ultra-processed products sold as foods.
