Food manufacturing generates a considerable amount of leftovers. Garbage disposal could cause environmental and ecological issues. Nevertheless, it is often possible to convert waste into high-value usable goods. Researchers have combed through natural wastes discovered substances that be re-utilised address the One materials in marine chitin, which transformed chitosan. Chitosan biopolymer derived from non-toxic, biodegradable, biocompatible. Therefore, chitosan has wide range applications. Moreover, been widely acknowledged an effective biomaterial variety ways. This review aims examine more closely primary sources chitosan, extraction methods,

Abstract The need for new sustainable engineering materials using polymer composites is evolving every day. Researchers are in a race to develop value‐added products from natural renewable sources and discarded waste materials. Studies indicate several hurdles while trying provide ecologically friendly product manufacturing over the years. Natural more readily available, biodegradable, affordable, have less processing health hazards, environmentally than synthetic As price of commercial polymers decreased, incorporation fillers became increasingly necessary technical reasons.. market can actually be expanded by appropriately combining produce wide range qualities these two components. Skin flap transplantations are common methods for covering and repairing tissue defects in surgery, while the survival rates of these skin flaps still low due to vascular crisis necrosis. To improve this situation, herein a novel biohybrid scaffold is proposed by integrating advantages anisotropic fish scales mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) regeneration. The scale obtained through its decellularization decalcification processes, which reserved intact collagen, glycosaminoglycan, other endogenous growth factors MSCs human endothelial proliferation. As maintains intrinsic structures on both surfaces, proliferative can be elongated along aligned scale, endow them capacity differentiate into multiple directions. Based features, it demonstrated from an vivo experiment that MSCs-loading scaffolds effectively convert activated inflammatory macrophages anti-inflammatory properties, reduce inflammation around flap, rate. These results indicate suitable has potential regeneration functional recovery.

Seafood processing creates enormous amounts of side-streams. This review deals with the use seafood side-streams for transformation into valuable products and identifies suitable approaches making it different purposes. Starting at stage catching fish to its selling point, many parts, such as head, skin, tail, fillet cut-offs, viscera, are wasted. These parts rich in proteins, enzymes, healthy fatty acids monounsaturated polyunsaturated ones, gelatin, collagen. The biochemical composition makes worth discussing paths through which can be turned products. Drawbacks, well challenges aquacultures, demonstrate importance using various produce compounds improve economic performance efficiency sustainability aquaculture. In this review, conventional novel utilization approaches, a combination both, have been identified, will lead development sustainable production chains emergence new bio-based future.
