Water treatment is crucial to improve the water quality and reduce diarrheal chronological diseases caused by excessive discharge of organic dyes other waste. The development expansion efficient catalysts for degradation sterilization has attracted widespread attention. Herein, we report an example a porphyrin-based two-dimensional layered metal-organic framework (MOF) (2DZnTcpp) its sono-/photocatalytic bactericidal activity. dislocated layers effectively avoid close π-π stacking provide porous space oxygen/water/dye contact. introduction Zn ions increases spin orbital coupling through heavy atom effect promotes intersystem crossing process singlet oxygen generation. effective ligand-to-metal charge transfer open catalytic sites also facilitate splitting hydroxyl radical These features together promote reactive species (ROS) generation 2DZnTcpp under light illumination or ultrasound sonication. It worth noting that with high specific surface area porosity shows dye Moreover, could largely inactivate Escherichia coli irradiation (the power 1 sun) sonication 30 min efficiencies over 99.99999%. This work provides approach design synthesis MOF-based sono-/photocatalysts used in purification textile wastewater committed establishment more efficient, fast, environmentally friendly system.

Science and technology play an important role in the development of new methods, tools techniques to solve specific quantitative qualitative environmental problems. In field air, water wastewater, nanotechnology has high efficiency for removing pollutants detecting them. Nano-adsorbents, nano-filtration, nano-photocatalysts, magnetic nanoparticles nanosensors are some methods developed using treat air pollutant detection. Considering capabilities eliminating controlling purifying preventing their spread, it can be considered as green effective tool achieve sustainable development.
