Six symmetric D-π-A-π-D indole derivatives (IDs) have been investigated as visible light photoinitiators (PIs). The IDs, with different the electron donor (D), C=C bond π-bridge and carbonyl group acceptor (A), are type II PIs owning to their intermolecular hydrogen abstraction. In process of generating free radicals, transformed hydroxyl alkyl which disrupted large conjugation systems resulted in color fading. Real time infrared (RT-IR) indicated that IDs ID/N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) effectively initiated photopolymerization 1, 6-hexanediol diacrylate under illumination. ID-HA containing acrylate double bonds is expected be served not only a PI but also crosslinker extremely high migration stability. extraction rate from polymer films following 30 min illumination was 1.0%. has lower energy excited triplet state (DFT calculations), favorable for transfer radical generation. Therefore, acetonitrile solution completely faded within 15 s illumination, demonstrating best photobleaching behavior. Meanwhile, polymerization conversion by it alone could reach 81%. Furthermore, 47 mm (with 96.8% whiteness bleaching ratio) 55 94.5% columns were obtained respectively, using ID-HA/MDEA PI. Thus, outstanding performance, stability thermal endow potential applications deep photopolymerization, food packaging biomedicine.

Abstract Over the past two decades, deep eutectic solvents (DESs) have captured significant attention as an emergent class of that unique properties and applications in differing fields chemistry. One area where DES systems find utility is design polymeric gels, often referred to “eutectogels,” which can be prepared either using a replace traditional solvent, or monomers form part themselves. Due extensive network intramolecular interactions (e.g., hydrogen bonding) ionic species exist systems, eutectogels possess appealing material properties—high adhesive strength, tuneable viscosity, rapid polymerization kinetics, good conductivity, well high strength flexibility. In addition, non‐covalent crosslinking approaches are possible due inherent these materials. This review considers several key eutectogels, including organic electronics, wearable sensor technologies, 3D printing resins, adhesives, range various biomedical applications. The design, synthesis, discussed, addition advantages this synthetic approach comparison gel design. Perspectives on future directions field also highlighted.

Coloration is essential for enhancing visual aesthetics and facilitating information communication, but it difficult to apply highly complex surfaces. Efficient manufacturing of 3D printed colored products particularly challenging, given the arbitrary nature We accomplish this goal with 3D/4D color printing using a photoprintable resin containing free radical initiator, photocurable monomers, photoacid generator, an acid-sensitive dye. The initiator activated long wavelength light (405 nm) photoprinting. Independently, generator triggered shorter (365 activate dye coloration. This allows decoupling coloration yield geometrically objects designable surface patterns as efficient yet simple way produce objects.
