Published: Dec. 16, 2024

Solenopsis invicta, an extremely destructive invasive species, has rapidly spread in China, with queens exhibiting chemical tolerance. In this study, bioassays were conducted on S. invicta colonies collected Nanchong, revealing that the LC50 value of flonicamid for (3.91 mg/L) was significantly higher than workers (1.07 mg/L). Comparative analysis transcriptomes and treated revealed differentially expressed genes (DEGs) enriched metabolism xenobiotics by cytochrome P450 drug pathways. Based screening transcriptome data, CYP6AQ83 might be involved detoxification queens. After RNA interference, sensitivity to increased 30% treatment dsCYP6AQ83 group. Furthermore, heterologous overexpression Drosophila melanogaster also enhanced tolerance against flonicamid. These results indicated queen enhances
