The global issue of ecological ditches being poor in removing nitrogen and phosphorus under cold winter temperatures has been identified. This study introduced three types biochar (reed, rice, corn) into ditch sediments via two application methods: rhizosphere mixed addition. purpose was to explore how these methods affect the removal phosphorus, as well their influences on microbial communities sediments. results indicated that addition significantly enhanced phosphorus. Among biochar, corn yielded greatest results, achieving rates 77.1% for total (TN), 93.3% NH4+-N, 90.3% (TP). growth Vallisneria natans greatly improved by method, resulting an average increase 154%. improvement superior group, which led a 125%. In comparison, control group (CK) showed decrease 4.8% growth. Different resulted changes physicochemical properties stoichiometry plants. Microbial analyses reduced diversity abundance substrate community.
