This article reviews the oxidation behaviour of two most significant high entropy alloy systems (HEAs) namely Cantor‐based and refractory HEAs. HEAs have been extensively researched show potential applications in various industries, including marine engine manufacturing, chemical industry, furnaces, ducting, heat exchangers, jet engines, steam turbines, nuclear reactors electronic devices, among others. Effect presence elements such as aluminium, manganese, chromium, silicon, tantalum, vanadium etc. is studied for catalysing Aluminium, silicon are reportedly found to considerably impact kinetics enhance resistance. However, can positively or adversely affect resistance depending on its concentration composition. Other like manganese tend FeCoNi‐based Refractory typically be not suitable studies due formation non‐protective oxide layers. offer interesting trends both terms enhancing reducing alloying elements. Similarly, findings related other also presented elaborated.

Erosion of the refractory materials in blast furnaces (BFs) greatly limits their campaign life, which seriously reduces economic benefits iron and steel plants endangers workers. Therefore, it is important to detect monitor erosion process BF hearth. In this review, mechanisms physical damage, chemical corrosion, mechanical hearths during operation are analyzed summarized. addition, effects hearth structure, type, protective layer on behavior life discussed. Some longevity technologies compared, such as reasonable structure design, selection, form layers. Finally, some suggestions prospects for future development long

The Al-rich hot-dip aluminum composite coatings were synthesized on Mo surface by aluminizing under different deposition processes. aluminide present a very smooth dense coating structure with lower roughness and fine grain size, the average (RSa) values are only 0.118–0.869 μm, corresponding area growth rate (Sdr) 3.85–80.19 %. Increasing temperature is beneficial for transition of low melting point compounds to high compounds, extending hot dip time profit diffusion enrichment Al atoms surface. TiC ceramics have the characteristics of high melting point and density, titanium reserves on earth are extremely large; therefore, considered ultra-high temperature materials with great research value. However, development TiC-based composites has been seriously hindered by their poor mechanical properties. At present, improvement properties is mainly accomplished adding a second phase. In this paper, status modified elements-, nitrides-, metal-reinforced matrix presented. The microstructure, phase composition, toughening mechanism reinforced described. influence reaction products during process also discussed.
