Purpose This research paper aimed to investigate the affordances of using virtual reality (VR) in teaching culture among in-service teachers Persian speakers other languages (TPSOL) Iran. Design/methodology/approach qualitative case study, conducted at two Iranian universities, used purposeful sampling select 34 eligible from a pool 73. Data collection an open-ended questionnaire and interviews. Findings Before TPSOL training workshop, expressed their reservations regarding use VR teach courses. The emerged themes were “skepticism toward effectiveness,” “practicality concerns,” “limited awareness applications,” “technological apprehension” “prevalence traditional paradigms.” During post-workshop interview, it was discovered that teachers’ perceptions had undergone positive shift. workshop generated emergent reflected for TPSOL, including “enhanced cultural immersion,” “increased student engagement,” “simulation authentic experiences,” “facilitation interactive learning environments.” Research limitations/implications One primary limitation is lack prior experience with practices real-world classrooms participants. While study explore potential enhancing pedagogical approaches, absence participants exposure educational contexts may impact generalizability findings broader population. Additionally, faced practical constraints, such as unavailability sufficient facilities workshop. As result, instructor project cont7ent on monitor, potentially diverging immersive nature true experiences. These limitations offer opportunities future refine methodologies gain more comprehensive understanding implications integrating into practices. Originality/value Extensive has been effectiveness language education. However, there significant gap which considered less commonly taught language. aims address this by exploring through lenses teachers. part larger investigation, inquiry focuses about VR, particular emphasis

Abstract Research examining teachers’ professional identity in the online context has recently increased; however, there have been few attempts (if any) to design a scale assess foreign language integrated with technology use flipped context. There also no extensions teacher model for teaching incorporated psycho‐emotional factors. The current study first developed and validated an instrument English of integration (ETITF) fill research gap that majority existing instruments not considered characteristics environment subject area English. Additionally, this present attempted extend by investigating influence factor, namely, perceived anxiety on coped teachers. Grounded theory acceptance model, 233 in‐service teachers from mainland China served explore constructs ETITF extension anxiety. Results exploratory factor analysis, first‐order, second‐order confirmatory analysis supported three‐dimension 15 items: task perception (TP), motivation (M), self‐efficacy (SE). results revealed is valid reliable could be used researchers, educators, education institutions gain greater understanding development can serve as tool support procedures developing specific items related teaching. structural equation modeling indicated significantly predict motivation, while showed positive self‐efficacy. This extended incorporation may contribute teaching, which provide implications educators researchers facilitate effective

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, its application in teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) is becoming increasingly widespread, profoundly affecting models and learning experiences. This paper reviews AI progress, challenges, future trends EFL instruction. It points out that technology supports effective instruction through personalized teaching, automated assessment feedback, active interactive experiences, data-driven analytics, intelligent agents/virtual assistants, humanoid robots. However, challenges such technological limitations, gaps acceptance capabilities, privacy protection ethical issues, unequal distribution instructional resources have also emerged. These require responses from educational administrative departments, schools, educators. In future, AI+EFL education will likely further promote innovation models, achieve more learner-centered paradigm, exert constructive influence, interdisciplinary integration collaboration, ensure improvement quality equity.

ABSTRACT Recent AI‐based language learning research highlights learners' crucial role, yet university learner readiness in ChatGPT‐based English remains unexplored. Accordingly, this current attempted to develop and validate a tool evaluate for ChatGPT‐assisted (LRCEL) address the gap that prior instruments have not taken into account features characteristics of ChatGPT teaching as well students' achievement emotions. Three hundred forty‐seven Chinese learners participated help explore confirm constructs LRCEL. Guided by theory planned behaviour control‐value emotions, results first‐order second‐order confirmatory factor analysis, exploratory structural equation modelling, convergent validity discriminant supported an 18‐item questionnaire comprising seven dimensions. The LRCEL has been proven valid reliable, enabling educational educators understand ChatGPT‐supported with domain‐specific items.
