Morinda citrifolia L. (M. citrifolia), commonly referred to as noni, a Polynesian medicinal plant with over 2000 years of traditional use, has garnered global interest for its rich repertoire antioxidant phytochemicals, including flavonoids (kaempferol, rutin), iridoids (aucubin, asperulosidic acid, deacetylasperulosidic asperuloside), polysaccharides (nonioside A), and coumarins (scopoletin). This comprehensive review synthesizes recent advances (2018-2023) on noni's bioactive constituents, pharmacological properties, molecular mechanisms, focus potential. Systematic analyses reveal that noni-derived compounds exhibit potent free radical scavenging capacity (e.g., 2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl/2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonicacid) (DPPH/ABTS) inhibition), upregulate endogenous enzymes (Superoxide Dismutase (SOD), Catalase (CAT), Glutathione Peroxidase (GPx)), modulate key pathways such Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related 2/Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1 (Nrf2/Keap1) Factor kappa-B (NF-κB). Notably, demonstrate dual anti-inflammatory effects via gut microbiota regulation. highlights the plant's potential innovation in medical pharmaceutical fields. However, it is also recognized further research needed clarify mechanisms action ensure safety widespread application. We emphasize need mechanistic studies bridge knowledge modern applications, particularly developing antioxidant-rich nutraceuticals sustainable livestock feed additives. underscores role multi-target agent provides roadmap future optimize health benefits.

The present study investigates the quality parameters of dried persimmon (Diospyros kaki) fruit slice by application intermittent microwave convective drying (IMCD) method. For experiment four power 200, 300, 400 and 500 W three pulse ratio cycle (PR) 1:5, 1:10 1:15 were used. Total 12 experimental runs conducted with different combinations selected PR to reduce moisture content persimmons from 90±2% (w.b.) a safer limit around 9.86±1.62% (w.b.). Out all sample at 1:5 found have shorter time 66 min longer 208 was observed for 200 1:15. functional properties such as total phenolic (TPC), antioxidant activity flavonoid (TFC) decreased progressed whereas physical parameter change in color increased increase time. fitted first second order kinetic model, model predict data higher accuracy when compared model. followed zero ranging 0.105 0.323min−1. Overall, IMCD condition had highest property lower color.

Panax notoginseng is a highly valued perennial medicinal herb in China and widely used clinical treatments. The main purpose of this study was to elucidate the changes composition P. saponins (PNSs), which are bioactive substances, triggered by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) via ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization–tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC–ESI–MS/MS). A total 202 putative terpenoid metabolites were detected, 150 triterpene glycosides identified, accounting for 74.26% total. Correlation analysis, principal component analysis (PCA) orthogonal partial least squares discriminant (OPLS–DA) revealed that samples treated with AMF (group Ce) could be clearly separated from CK samples. In total, 49 differential terpene identified between Ce groups, 38 11 upregulated downregulated, respectively, most differentially abundant mainly glycosides. relative abundances two major notoginsenosides (MNs), ginsenosides Rd Re, 13 rare (RNs), significantly increased. saponins, especially RNs, more easily clustered into one branch had high positive correlation. It concluded biosynthesis accumulation some RNs share same pathways as those AMF. This provides new way obtain notoginsenoside resources, particularly sheds light on scientization rationalization use agents ecological planting plants.
