To improve the visible light-induced catalytic activities of Ultrathin g-C3N4 (UCN), a promising photocatalyst WO3/UCN (WU) was synthesized. Its light-driven photocatalysis performance controllable by adjusting theoretical mass ratio WO3/UCN. We have calibrated optimal preparation conditions to be: as 1:1, stirring time UCN and sodium tungstate mixture 9 h volume concentrated hydrochloric acid 6 mL which poured into solution with an extra 1.5 h. The WUopt had porous wrinkled configurations. light absorption edge 524 nm while that 465 nm. band gap 2.13 eV, 0.3 eV less than UCN. Therefore, recombination rate photo-generated electron-hole pairs reduced significantly. removal on RhB 97.3%. By contrast, much lower (53.4%). retained high rate, it 5.5% initial one after being reused for five cycles. photodegradation mechanism facilitated through strong oxidation behaviors from active free radicals ·O2-, ·OH h+ generated under irradiation.
