A series of simple and low-cost Ca-doped g-C3N4 (Ca/CN-X) photocatalysts were fabricated through a two-step calcination method for photodegradation methylene blue (MB) simulated dyeing wastewater. The results showed that the efficiency Ca/CN-15 % on MB removal under visible light was 97.7 %, degradation rate constant 4 times CN, showing best photocatalytic performance. This attributed to fact doping Ca expanded absorption band edge, reduced gap, suppressed photogenerated electron-hole recombination, thereby increasing its corresponding activity. possible mechanism explored, it found h+ main active species during process. above indicated Ca/CN-X can be regarded as promising catalyst wastewater treatment.
