Abstract
The
aim
of
this
study
was
to
examine
the
associations
between
adverse
childhood
experiences
(ACEs)
and
high
levels
social
service
usage
by
women
who
are
sex
trafficked.
Fifty
(N
=
50)
were
trafficked
surveyed
using
purposive
snowball
sampling
methods.
ACEs
score
for
respondents
ranged
from

with
an

Emotional
sexual
abuse
tied
at

frequently

Exposure
to
adverse
childhood
experiences
(ACEs)

a

risk

depression

Background
Adverse
childhood
experiences
(ACEs)
have
been
implicated
in
the
aetiology
of
a

health
outcomes,
including
multimorbidity.
In
this
systematic
review
and
meta-analysis,
we
aimed
to
identify,
synthesise,
quantify
current
evidence
linking
ACEs
