Children’s social care (CSC) involvement during pregnancy and the first two years of a child’s life – period known as ‘1001 critical days’ can have significant impact on mental health wellbeing both mothers infants. By putting bonding attachment between their babies at risk, this pose long-term implications for children’s emotional psychological development. Drawing findings from Birth Companions’ recent projects with women lived experience CSC involvement, article offers insight into impacts assessment and/or proceedings 1001 days.
