In many countries, migrants and ethnic minorities express fear of child welfare service (CWS). This is reflected in Norwegian research media, where mistrust surround the debate on migrants’ relationship with agency. thesis explores Somalis’ fears CWS context their situation Norway social world. While between several migrant groups strained, we know little about how are constructed perpetuated within communities. Throughout my dissertation, I emphasise that relations to –whether factors into it or not – must be understood light ofprocesses dynamics far beyond CWS. We pay attention tight-knit communities, networks, marginalised positions transnational relations. My inquiry guided by two core questions: How among Norwegian-Somali parents, does impact everyday lives? These questions were explored through nine months ethnography, seven Oslo Somalia returnees from Norway. Fieldwork consisted of, inter alia, observations cafés shops, participation seminars mosques, participant observation a school Somalia, informal conversations, formally organised focus in-depth interviews parents. The three articles comprising empirical part dissertation cover following topics. first article parents embedded networks transmitted via stories removals. paper provides extensive insight construction perpetuation fear. analysis suggests particular process underlying Somali parents’ fears, which coin ABCD, pertaining (a) socioeconomic adversities; (b)coping bonding capital; (c) children as “lifeline”;and (d) (disproportionate) diffusion removal stories. results demonstrate importance well why these spread. This paper examines the perspectives of child protection workers (CPWs) (n = 106) on participation children in practice Estonia. Este estudio examina las experiencias de los profesionales en el uso prácticas narrativas (PN) la intervención psicosocial con infancia vulnerada Chile. Si consideramos efectos dañinos racionalidad neoliberal y managerialismo políticas sociales práctica psicosocial, PN aparecen como un modelo particularmente contrastante, dada su ética colaborativa. En consecuencia, nos hemos propuesto analizar, desde perspectiva profesionales, cómo son introducidas adolescencia Mediante diseño cualitativo realizamos cinco entrevistas dos grupos focales que trabajan programas psicosociales. A través análisis temático interpretativo resultados se agruparon cuatro temas: 1) subjetividades institucionalizadas, 2) posición 3) praxis disidente y, 4) aperturas micropolíticas. El muestra a intentando resistir PN, lo es capturado expresión ‘hacer sentido’, implica una resulta significativa motivadora para usuarios, además permite lidiar mejor obstáculos dilemas enfrentan. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan perhesosiaalityön ja lastensuojelun rajapinnoilla tehtävää palvelutarpeen arviointia asiakasnäkökulmasta kysymällä, mitä arviointi on millaista sen tulisi olla. Asiakasnäkökulma pohjautuu kollektiiviseen kokemusasiantuntijatietoon, jota lähestytään lastensuojelua koskevina näkemyksinä henkilökohtaisten kokemusten sijasta. Aineisto koostuu 14 nuorten vanhempien kokemusasiantuntijoiden vinjettipohjaisesta ryhmähaastattelusta. Nuorten näkemykset arvioinnista ovat pääpiirteiltään samanlaisia. Arvioinnin tehtävänä selvittää selittää ongelmat luoda näkymiä niiden ratkaisemiseen. Ammattilaisten monipuolinen tieto osaaminen sekä yksilöllinen, vuorovaikutteinen kokonaisvaltainen työskentely korostuvat. Tulosten pohjalta aiheellista uudelleenarvioida sellaisia palvelujärjestelmän organisointitapoja, joissa irrotetaan muusta sosiaalityöstä.
