Abstract Child welfare (CW) reforms have called for including family and youth voice. Yet, most initiatives remained at individual levels, research has rarely included youth, parent professional voices simultaneously equally. This study sought to integrate these perspectives identify systems-level strategies that could reimagine CW. Using an arts-based method thematic analysis, researchers investigated recommendations policy practice changes needed transform CW better support youth. Data were collected from relational poems written by forty-one participants, with foster care (FC) experience professionals. Participants located in a Midwestern state the USA. Four themes generated several key findings highlighted. First, results demonstrated relationship-building as central supporting FC. Secondly, participants described complex, fragmented fluctuating views about purpose of Thirdly, strong emotions commonly both Fourthly, offered prescriptive actions Overall, this indicates should centre relationship-building, self-determination practices build resilience Findings also provide hope transforming towards accountable, family-centred, well-being system.

This paper examines the perspectives of child protection workers (CPWs) (n = 106) on participation children in practice Estonia. The findings indicated that was most related to term "asking a child's opinion." On theoretical level, CPWs considered asking opinion be significant order make decisions best interests. In practice, however, acknowledged dependent level development and age child, whether there were any custody disputes, time factors. reflections indicate protectionist approach regarding because they discussed issue being vulnerable how encouraging them participate might detrimental their well-being.

Este estudio examina las experiencias de los profesionales en el uso prácticas narrativas (PN) la intervención psicosocial con infancia vulnerada Chile. Si consideramos efectos dañinos racionalidad neoliberal y managerialismo polí­ticas sociales práctica psicosocial, PN aparecen como un modelo particularmente contrastante, dada su ética colaborativa. En consecuencia, nos hemos propuesto analizar, desde perspectiva profesionales, cómo son introducidas adolescencia Mediante diseño cualitativo realizamos cinco entrevistas dos grupos focales que trabajan programas psicosociales. A través análisis temático interpretativo resultados se agruparon cuatro temas: 1) subjetividades institucionalizadas, 2) posición 3) praxis disidente y, 4) aperturas micropolí­ticas. El muestra a intentando resistir PN, lo es capturado expresión ‘hacer sentido’, implica una resulta significativa motivadora para usuarios, además permite lidiar mejor obstáculos dilemas enfrentan. Artikkelissa tarkastellaan perhesosiaalityön ja lastensuojelun rajapinnoilla tehtävää palvelutarpeen arviointia asiakasnäkökulmasta kysymällä, mitä arviointi on millaista sen tulisi olla. Asiakasnäkökulma pohjautuu kollektiiviseen kokemusasiantuntijatietoon, jota lähestytään lastensuojelua koskevina näkemyksinä henkilökohtaisten kokemusten sijasta. Aineisto koostuu 14 nuorten vanhempien kokemusasiantuntijoiden vinjettipohjaisesta ryhmähaastattelusta. Nuorten näkemykset arvioinnista ovat pääpiirteiltään samanlaisia. Arvioinnin tehtävänä selvittää selittää ongelmat luoda näkymiä niiden ratkaisemiseen. Ammattilaisten monipuolinen tieto osaaminen sekä yksilöllinen, vuorovaikutteinen kokonaisvaltainen työskentely korostuvat. Tulosten pohjalta aiheellista uudelleenarvioida sellaisia palvelujärjestelmän organisointitapoja, joissa irrotetaan muusta sosiaalityöstä.
