The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) has gained significant momentum in recent years as a sustainable alternative to traditional internal combustion engine vehicles. However, the efficient utilization batteries EVs, coupled with growing demand for transportation, posed complex challenges battery management context vehicle routing problems broad sense, which includes problems, team orienteering and arc all them using EVs. This paper presents comprehensive review state-of-the-art approaches, methodologies, strategies each aforementioned optimization problems. We explore relevant factors influencing performance interplay between routing, charging, energy also discusses advances algorithms, vehicle-to-grid integration, intelligent decision-making techniques aimed at enhancing range, reliability, sustainability EV operations. Key findings indicate paradigm shift towards addressing uncertainties, dynamic conditions, synchronization inherent large-scale within EVs that require management.

The growth of the urban population and increase in e-commerce activities have resulted challenges for last-mile delivery. On other hand, electric vehicles (EVs) been introduced to delivery as an alternative fossil fuel vehicles. Electric not only play a pivotal role reducing greenhouse gas emissions air pollution but also contribute significantly development more energy-efficient environmentally sustainable transportation systems. Within these dynamics, Vehicle Routing Problem (EVRP) has begun replace (VRP) While classic vehicle routing ignores fueling, both location charging stations time should be included due long recharging time. This study addresses Capacitated EVRP (CEVRP) with novel Q-learning algorithm. is model-free reinforcement learning algorithm designed maximize agent’s cumulative reward over by selecting optimal actions. Additionally, new dataset published considering field constraints. For design dataset, real geographical positions used, located province Eskisehir, Türkiye. It includes environmental information, such streets, intersections, traffic density, unlike classical datasets. Optimal solutions are obtained each instance using mathematical model. results proposed compared presented dataset. Test show that provides remarkable advantages obtaining routes shorter EVs.
