Berthing operation heterogeneity across ship types causes significant uncertainty in assessing port congestion and carbon emissions over comparable timeframes. This study quantifies in-port emission dynamics for four cargo (container, liquid bulk, dry general cargo) using an operational phase-specific accounting model. We propose a hybrid deep learning model that integrates Two-Dimensional Convolutional Neural Networks (2DCNN) with Squeeze-and-Excitation Attention Mechanisms (SEAM) Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (BiLSTM) layers, optimized via the Triangulation Topology Aggregation Optimizer (TTAO) hyperparameter tuning. Empirical analysis at Ningbo Zhoushan Port shows bulk carriers emit 23–41% more than other due to extended auxiliary engine/boiler use during handling. The 2DCNN-SEAM significantly improves BiLSTM prediction accuracy—reducing Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) by 18.7% increasing R2 value 0.94—by effectively capturing spatiotemporal features. Results confirm is critical multiplier, especially ships requiring prolonged system berthing. These insights inform targeted decarbonization strategies authorities, prioritizing efficiency energy transition high-emission categories.

Disruptions often happen to ports and cause varying degrees of port congestion. This study employs a queueing model investigate network disruption the resultant ripple effects in global transportation system. We first propose an algorithm solve model. Based on model, we obtain analytical results or hypotheses regarding mechanism under disruptions. further conduct simulations examine hypotheses. Three key findings this are: (1) disruptions small lead longer round-trip time compared those large port; (2) herding behavior system causes heavier congestion also produces more emissions; (3) major-rare waiting at both other call These insights can help operators understand put place countermeasures.

This paper aims to solve the decision-making problem of value chain reconstruction Chinese port enterprises under background Free Trade Zone policy. Based on theory and system dynamics method, this constructs a simulation model that can simulate value-added change process different combination input conditions. Furthermore, it conducts case studies. The research indicates policy has significant promoting effect restructuring enterprise chains transformation upgrading enterprises. Moreover, considering impact limited resources, overall benefits from combined investments are superior those single-factor investments. According theory, business segments decomposed into ancillary activities, basic external activities. in these three types activities play roles, respectively, enhancing operational efficiency enterprises, expanding scope strengthening core competitiveness From perspective system, Shanghai Port obtain maximum operating profit when endogenous factor rate is 13%, 4%, exogenous 13%. findings provide reference for realize reconstruction, transformation, context
