Abstract Preserving the balance of metabolic processes in endothelial cells (ECs) and vascular smooth muscle (VSMCs), is crucial for optimal function integrity. ECs are metabolically active depend on aerobic glycolysis to efficiently produce energy their essential functions, which include regulating tone. Impaired EC metabolism linked damage, increased permeability inflammation. Metabolic alterations VSMCs also contribute dysfunction atherosclerosis hypertension. Magnesium (Mg 2+ ) second most abundant intracellular divalent cation influences molecular that regulate function, including vasodilation, vasoconstriction, release vasoactive substances. Mg critically involved maintaining cellular homeostasis since it an cofactor ATP, nucleic acids hundreds enzymes processes. Low levels have been dysfunction, tone, inflammation arterial remodeling. Growing evidence indicates important role transient receptor potential melastatin‐subfamily member 7 (TRPM7) channel regulation VSMCs. In vasculature, TRPM7 deficiency leads impaired contraction, phenotypic switching VSMCs, fibrosis, characterize phenotype Here we provide a comprehensive overview TRPM7/Mg how VSMC such as glucose homeostasis, redox regulation, phosphoinositide signaling, mineral metabolism. The putative altered hypertension discussed.

The long-term health effects of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) on hypertension remain incomprehensive. We evaluated the relationship PM2.5 and its components with incidence in middle-aged elderly adults. utilised data from China Health Retirement Longitudinal Study collected between 2011 2018. obtained annual modelled dataset Tracking Air Pollution China, including black carbon (BC), sulphate (SO42-), organic (OM), ammonium (NH4+), nitrate (NO3-). Time-varying Cox models quantile g-computation were employed to explore associations. Exposure-response curves portrayed investigate potential non-linear effects. enrolled 7,032 individuals a mean age 57.14 (range: 45-95) years. Over 36,997 person-years follow-up (average time: 5.26 years), 3,119 suffered hypertension. With per interquartile range increment, hazard ratios 95% confidence intervals (CIs) (3.82 [95% CI: 3.48-4.18]), BC (4.17 3.54-4.92]), SO42- (4.24 3.50-5.12]), OM (3.76 3.14-4.50]), NH4+ (3.20 2.91-3.52]), NO3- (1.94 1.77-2.13]) discovered lag 1 year. Polyfluoroalkyl chemicals (PFCs) present potential health risks due to their persistence and bioaccumulation. However, there is currently insufficient evidence regarding impact on cardiovascular disease (CVD). Consequently, it imperative investigate the correlation between PFCs CVD. The data was collected from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey in 2005-2012. Logistic regression models were employed assess association single PFC Generalized additive model (GAM) used for evaluating nonlinear relationships. Subgroup analyses conducted explore interaction effects. BACKGROUND Hypertension is one of the main modifiable risk factors linked to cardiovascular disease and its prevalence currently increasing in various age groups. This study aimed evaluate blood pressure, demographic data, workload, lifestyle nurses employed hospitals Subcarpathian region southeastern Poland. MATERIAL AND METHODS cross-sectional observational was conducted among 627 professionally active nurses. Certified devices were used for measurements: body mass analyzer (Tanita MC-980 PLUS MA), automated sphygmomanometer (Welch Allyn 4200B), stadiometer (Seca 213), tape measure 201). The frequency consumption specific product groups assessed using a survey method. Analysis R software (version 4.3.1) logistic regression examine variables affecting hypertension occurrence. RESULTS found that elevated pressure more prevalent than they self-report. Logistic analysis identified significant predictors hypertension, including (odds ratio; OR=1.061; OR=1.045), working 1 job (OR=1.579; OR=1.864), index (OR=1.152; OR=1.113). CONCLUSIONS Regular monitoring necessary early detection timely intervention hypertension. Enhancing nurses' awareness their own health will encourage proactive preventive measures. Implementing comprehensive education programs focused on latest advances prevention essential.

In recent years, the incidence of cardiovascular disease has increased annually, and demand for artificial blood vessels been increasing. Due to formation thrombosis stenosis after implantation, application many materials in human body inhibited. Therefore, choice surface modification process is very important. this paper, small-diameter polyurethane were prepared through electrospinning, their surfaces treated with plasma improve biological properties. The samples before treatment characterized by SEM, contact angle, XPS, tensile testing; meanwhile, cell compatibility evaluated. results show that there are no significant changes fiber morphology or diameter distribution on sample treatment. Plasma can increase proportion oxygen-containing functional groups its wettability, thereby increasing infiltration ability cells promoting proliferation. reduce risk hemolysis, does not cause platelet adhesion. etching effect plasma, mechanical properties decreased extension time, which should be used as a basis balance property vessels. But whole, positive significance improving comprehensive performance samples.
