Abstract Tube bending plays a crucial role in various industrial sectors, ranging from aerospace, military, and petrochemical to automotive manufacturing. However, persistent challenge this process is the occurrence of springback, which disrupts intended shape bent tubes affects product assembly. While previous research has primarily focused on predicting managing springback using simplified biaxial stress assumptions, influence radial normal (internal pressure) often been overlooked, particularly modern techniques like hydroforming rubber pad forming. In study, comprehensive investigation into impact internal pressure during tube was undertaken, employing analytical, numerical, experimental methodologies. The utilization mandrel thin-walled effectively reduces angles by up 9.86% compared without it. numerical simulation demonstrates stronger agreement with data, highlighting importance generated mandrel's contact stress. This contributes increasing plastic strain level, extending skin, removing elastic core, subsequently reducing springback.

In this paper, a new framework for large strain of electro-active viscoelastic polymeric beams is developed. The kinematical quantities beam are derived, and then the constitutive equations electromechanical To expand formulation to regime, generalization quasi-linear viscoelasticity theory electo-mechanical deformation developed called electro-mechanical (EM-QLV) theory. deal with highly nonlinear formulation, finite element in Total Lagrangian derived. Finally, examine applicability proposed model, several examples presented compared results literature.
