Abstract With the increase of drug‐resistant bacteria and limitations traditional antibacterial methods, photocatalytic inhibition has received widespread attention as a novel method. In this paper, poly(1‐vinyl‐3‐ethylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate) composite oxygenated carbon nitride (PBF‐OCN) were prepared by in situ free radical polymerization using 1‐vinyl‐3‐ethylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate OCN. The results showed that light absorption ability electron hole separation rate PBF‐OCN greatly improved compared with OCN, constant for removal MB PBF‐OCN‐1 was about 1.39 times growth Escherichia coli ( E. ) Staphylococcus aureus S. could be significantly inhibited under visible light, among which, PBF‐OCN‐3 most excellent, diameter circle reaching 20.69 mm , 21.30 against calculated plate counting method reached 97.0%. minimum inhibitory concentration 0.0625 mg/mL, respectively, possible mechanism samples explored. good synergistic effect is expected to applied water treatment, devices, packaging materials, other fields.
