The digitalization of agriculture is rapidly changing the way farmers do business. With integration advanced technology, are now able to increase efficiency, productivity, and precision in their operations. Digitalization allows for real-time monitoring management crops, leading improved yields reduced waste. This paper presents a review some use cases that has made an impact automation open-field closed-field cultivations by means collecting data about soils, crop growth, microclimate, or contributing more accurate decisions water usage fertilizer application. objective was address most recent technological advances increased efficiency sustainability production, reduction inputs environmental impacts, releasing manual workforces from repetitive field tasks. short discussions included at end each case study attempt highlight limitations challenges toward successful implementations, as well introduce alternative solutions methods evolving offer vast array benefits influencing cost-saving measures. concludes despite many digitalization, there still number need be overcome, including high costs, reliability, scalability. Most available setups currently used this purpose have been custom designed specific tasks too expensive implemented on commercial scales, while others early stages development, making them not reliable scalable widespread acceptance adoption farmers. The plum is a kind of delicious and common fruit with high edible value nutritional value. accurate effective detection the key to number counting pest disease early warning. However, actual orchard environment complex, fruits has many problems, such as leaf shading overlapping. traditional method manually estimating presence pests diseases used in growing industry disadvantages, low efficiency, cost, accuracy. To detect quickly accurately complex environment, this paper proposes an efficient model based on improved You Only Look Once version 7(YOLOv7). First, different devices were capture high-resolution images under natural conditions Gulin County, Sichuan Province, dataset for was formed after manual screening, data enhancement, annotation. Based dataset, chose YOLOv7 base model, introduced Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM) attention mechanism YOLOv7, Cross Stage Partial Spatial Pyramid Pooling-Fast (CSPSPPF) instead Pooling(CSPSPP) network, bilinear interpolation replace nearest neighbor original network upsampling module form target algorithm YOLOv7-plum. tested YOLOv7-plum achieved average precision (AP) 94.91%, which 2.03% improvement compared model. In order verify effectiveness algorithm, evaluated performance through ablation experiments, statistical analysis, etc. experimental results showed that proposed study could better achieve backgrounds, helped promote development intelligent cultivation industry.
