Nonetheless, research on computer self-efficacy (CSE) reactions task performance has been ambiguous terms quality, motivations, results. A particularly important case involves overconfident individuals, i.e., those with unrealistically high CSE beliefs. Using theoretical lenses technology use along a mixed methodological approach thought lab experiments 54 undergraduate students performing computer-aided tasks who were randomly assigned different groups receiving performance, we found that valence-based possibly introduces unnecessary information adjust levels actual students. This finding contributes knowledge whether is when skills learning naturally mature across tasks, addition how judicious one processing externally motivated feedback. study additionally offers novel three-dimensional construct, an instrument measure scenario-based tool conduct sequential decision classroom. practical implications include planning classroom, further insights into organizational hiring, training, team building.
