MXenes are a group of novel two-dimensional (2D) materials with merits such as large specific surface area, abundant surface-functional groups, high chemical activity, excellent mechanical properties, hydrophilicity, and good compatibility various polymers. Eco-friendly sustainable and responsive coating for active/passive corrosion is desirable to extend the service life of Here, benzotriazole (BTA)-metal organic frameworks (Cu-MOFs, UiO-66) were embedded in silica (SiO2) by one-step electrodeposition copper. Combined capability MOFs active BTA inhibitor, composite (BTA-MOF/SiO2) exhibited high stable resistance, confirmed microstructure characterizations electrochemical tests. As a result, as-prepared superhydrophobicity water contact angle 154.2°.
