This study aimed to compare the proliferation, differentiation rates, and related gene expression levels of skeletal muscle satellite cells (SMSCs) isolated from Hanwoo steers cows identify a suitable source for cell-based meat production. SMSCs were extracted three cows, their cell growth doubling times, genetic differences determined. Comparative analysis revealed that exhibited higher rate than cows. Doubling time was shorter in (p<0.0001). During differentiation, fusion index showed significant between Steers after 24 h, 72 h. Genetic level Pax7 significantly (p<0.001). The differentiation-related genes, including MyoG, MRF4, MHC1 Thus, steer exhibit faster rate, these findings are expected provide valuable information determining optimal food.

Cultured meat has been gaining popularity as a solution to the increasing problem of food insecurity. Although research on cultured started later compared other alternative meats, industry is growing rapidly every year, with developed products evaluated being most similar conventional meat. Studies production techniques, such culturing new animal cells and developing medium sera scaffolds, are conducted intensively diversely. However, active in-depth quality characteristics meat, including studies sensory storage properties that directly influence consumer preferences, still lacking. Additionally, combination or ratio fat muscle improvement microbiota, protein degradation, fatty acid degradation remain be conducted. By actively investigating these topics, we aim verify safety ultimately improving preference for products.

This study aimed to investigate effects of chicken age on proliferation and differentiation capacity muscle satellite cells (MSCs) determine total amino acid contents cultured meat (CM) produced. Chicken MSCs (cMSCs) were isolated from hindlimb muscles broiler chickens at 5-week-old (5W) 19-embryonic-day (19ED), respectively. Proliferation abilities (population doubling time cell counting kit 8) cMSCs 19ED significantly higher than those 5W (p < 0.05). Likewise, both myotube formation area expression myosin heavy chain After serially subcultured for long-term cultivation in 2D flasks produce tissue (CMT), CMT showed no significant difference between > finding suggests that embryos are more suitable improving the production efficiency CM derived young chickens.

Cultured meat production relies on various cell types, including muscle stem cells (MuSCs), embryonic lines, induced pluripotent and naturally immortalized lines. MuSCs possess superior differentiation capabilities compared to the other three making them key for cultured development. Therefore, produce using MuSCs, they must first be effectively separated from muscles. At present, methods used isolate muscles include (1) pre-plating method, ability of adhere differently, which is a biological characteristic MuSCs; (2) density gradient centrifugation intrinsic difference cells, physical (3) fluorescence- magnetic-activated sorting methods, surface marker protein molecular MuSCs. Further efficient valuable separating are expected required as cell-based industry develops. Thus, we take closer look at four currently in use discuss future development directions this review.

Muscle satellite cell (MSC) isolation, proliferation, and differentiation are the basis of cultured meat (CM) technology, which emerged as a sustainable moral substitute for conventional animal agriculture. Notwithstanding encouraging future CM, there still lot obstacles to overcome, like high expense culture media need fetal bovine serum (FBS). The goal this work is determine whether plant-based nitrogen source soy protein hydrolysate (SPH) can improve myogenic functional development in MSCs CM by acting substitute. We concentrated on how Angel Yeast Company’s SPH PU041 affected C2C12 mouse line, useful model studying muscle biology sector. Adding containing different concentrations FBS was found promote proliferation elongation, with optimal effects observed at 0.5 g/L. Immunofluorescence flow cytometry analyses revealed that up-regulated levels myosin heavy chain (MyHC) factor 1 (MyoD), key biomarkers myogenesis. Furthermore, quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR) confirmed up-regulation MyHC, MyoD, myogenin (MyoG) mRNA expression, indicating induces differentiation. findings suggest potentially be used reduce costs associated production viable substitute, thereby facilitating more ethical approach food production. However, precise mechanisms underlying PU041’s warrant further investigation.
