Abstract
Purpose
Live-remote
exercise
interventions,
supervised
by
professionals
in
a
home-based
setting,
could
potentially
enhance
accessibility
for
cancer
survivors,
yet
research
on
their
perspectives
is
limited.
This
study
explored
survivors’
experience
of
within
the
context
live-remote
intervention,
to
understand
factors
influencing
engagement.
Methods
Four
online
focus
groups
with,
total,
22
breast,
prostate,
and
colorectal
survivors
were
conducted
between
March
June
2023.

individuals
had
participated
12-week
intervention.
The
semi-structured
discussions
transcribed
verbatim
analysed
using
reflexive
thematic
analysis
with
an
abductive
approach.
Capability,
Opportunity,
Motivation
model
Behaviour
(COM-B)
served
as
supportive
framework.
Results
Nine
themes
identified
mapped
onto
COM-B
domains
(capability,
opportunity,
motivation).
Factors
engagement
included
readiness
following
treatment,
bringing
closer,
capable
hands,
peer
support
through
shared
experience,
life
hurdles
or
support,
integral
component
caring
myself
others
after
me,
positive
impact
exceeding
expectations,
getting
into
habit.
Conclusions
Identifying
shaping

Background:
Resistance
training
(RT)
yields
physical
