Coastal geomorphology undergoes constant transformation due to a combination of coastal and fluvial processes human intervention. Remote sensing GIS tools are invaluable in identifying studying these changes. Due the dynamic interaction between land sea, coastline requires careful monitoring detect hotspots understand spatial temporal impacts climate change on environment. data offers comprehensive means landform In recent study, focus was analyze impact Casuarina plantation Kajirbhati spit. This involved various depositional features such as sand bars, spits, dunes, beaches. The study utilized Google Earth Pro images from 2005, 2011, 2023 digitize 13 classes each year, enabling identification changing geomorphic classes. These include agriculture, swash zones, dunes berm lines, coconut plantations, estuary, mangroves, mudflats, open land, settlement, vegetation. results revealed dramatic changes use cover 2005 2023. years 2011 2023, area sandspit covered by plants expanded rapidly.
