Cd(II) and Cu(II) ions cause many diseases in humans. Therefore, they should be removed from water sources using simple cost-effective adsorbents. Consequently, sodium magnesium silicate hydroxide/sodium hydrate nanostructures were synthesized functionalized 2,3-dihydroxybenzaldehyde as a novel nanocomposite. Several instruments used to characterize the synthetic products, such an X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Fourier-transform infrared spectrophotometer (FT-IR), N2 adsorption/desorption analyzer, CHN elemental energy-dispersive (EDS), field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). The functionalization of with led disappearance XRD peaks presence broad peak at 2θ = 32°. In addition, FE-SEM images revealed that consisted spheres, cubes, irregular shapes average grain size 115 nm, nanocomposite spherical conglomerates consisting needle-like shapes. anticipated morphology following resulted on backbones nanostructures. EDS results showed composed O, Na, Mg, Si weight percentages equal 38.59%, 5.95%, 16.60%, 38.86%, respectively. Additionally, was C, N, 55.31%, 2.23%, 30.09%, 6.56%, 2.98%, 12.83%, samples utilized for efficient removal cadmium copper aqueous media ion exchange chelation adsorption procedures, Optimum conditions removing achieved pH, time, temperature 7.5, 80 min, 298 K, maximum uptake capacities toward 89.44 mg/g 155.04 mg/g, respectively, 103.73 177.94 Moreover, processes exothermic, chemical, followed pseudo-second-order model Langmuir equilibrium isotherm model.
