A Fe-modified black peanut shell biochar (Fe@BC) was fabricated using FeCl3 as a magnetic modifier, its sorption for Pb(II) in mixed Pb(II), Cu(II), Ni(II) solutions examined. It showed that Fe@BC had better adsorption Pb(II). While the optimal pH 4.0, and equilibrium time 8 h. The capacity of 22.535 mg/g systems. Interestingly, exhibited decreasing trend. In contrast, Cu(II) increased with rising temperature. fitting theoretical models them followed quasi-second kinetic model, such an spontaneous process. Additionally, fitted well Freundlich isotherm model. Conversely, obeyed Langmuir-Freundlich Mechanisms metal ions mainly enclosed ion exchange, surface physic-sorption, pore adsorption, groups' bonding effect. Regeneration it can be cycled four times HCl desorbent. Especially simulated wastewater, remarkable organic matters, demonstrating promising adsorbent removing from wastewater.

Two biochars (i.e., Mu@CG and Tu@CG) derived from waste coffee grounds (CG) were prepared muffle furnace (Mu) tube (Tu) utilized to inspect the impact of carbonization process. It indicated that specific surface area could reach 124.26 m2/g, which was 37 times higher than Tu@CG (3.288 m2/g). Sorption experiments revealed optimal conditions 55 °C, pH= 4, time= 10 h, concentration 80 mg/L for both combustion furnaces. Specifically, exhibited larger pore size (3.42 nm) (0.015 nm), suggesting Mu can increase CG. The sorption Pb(II) Ni(II) on followed pseudo-1st-order kinetic model. Langmuir qm value 67.037 mg/g. While, cycle be arrived at 5 HCl is an ideal de-sorbent regeneration Ni(II). Further, negative ∆G positive ∆H data confirmed spontaneous endothermic processes. Based these findings, it concluded CG pyrolysis, will one most favorable manners.

Microplastics (MPs) are prevalent emerging pollutants in soil environments, acting as carriers for other contaminants and facilitating combined pollution along with toxic metals like cadmium (Cd). This interaction increases effects poses substantial threats to ecosystems human health. The objective of this study was investigate the hydrodynamic adsorption Cd by conducting experiments where polystyrene microplastics (PS) biochar (BC) coexisted across various particle sizes (10 µm, 20 30 µm). Then, incubation were set up under conditions pollution, involving concentrations (0.5 g·kg
