Las Tablas de Daimiel National Park (TDNP, Iberian Peninsula) is a semi-arid wetland of international significance for waterfowl and serves as migratory route various bird species. However, TDNP presents strong anthropization fluctuating water levels, making it highly fragile ecosystem. Water physico-chemical parameters microbial diversity the three domains (Bacteria-Archaea- Eukarya) were analysed in Zone A B (a total eight stations) during spring summer, aiming to determine how seasonal changes influence quality, trophic status ultimately, community composition. Additionally, Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) was used instead transparency using Secchi disk, setting threshold 20-40 μmol/sm

To explore the effect of different types dissolved organic matter (DOM) decomposition on nutrient cycling pathways and microbial loop, four lakes with DOM sources were investigated monthly. In Lake Tangxun, Dolichospermum decay released highly labile nitrogen into water column. This induced bacterial decomposition, as indicated by increased abundance gltB, gltD, gdh, glnA well aminopeptidase activity. Genes associated dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonium further fueled accumulation, driving Microcystis blooms in summer. Zhiyin, fish bait deposits (high nitrogen, similar detritus) also caused blooms. Detritus from then produced high levels phosphorus, inducing phosphatase activity increasing soluble reactive phosphorus concentrations September April Lakes Tangxun Zhiyin. The refractory macrophytes Houguan led insufficient availability, leading mutualism between algae bacteria. carbon terrestrial detritus Yandong biomass production, resulting low chlorophyll content due competitive relationship algal requirements. Therefore, compositions induce unique connections among available nutrients, algae, bacteria loop.

Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) may exert adverse effects on human and ecosystem health. However, as an ecologically fragile zone with strong interaction between river groundwater, the POPs pollution in riparian has received little attention. The goal of this research is to examine concentrations, spatial distribution, potential ecological risks, biological organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) groundwater Beiluo River, China. results showed that level risk OCPs River were higher than PCBs. presence PCBs (Penta-CBs, Hexa-CBs) CHLs, respectively, have reduced richness bacteria (Firmicutes) fungi (Ascomycota). Furthermore, Shannon's diversity index algae (Chrysophyceae Bacillariophyta) decreased, which could be linked (DDTs, DRINs), Hepta-CBs), while for metazoans (Arthropoda) tendency was reversed, presumably a result SULPHs pollution. In network analysis, core species belonging (Proteobacteria), (Ascomycota), (Bacillariophyta) played essential roles maintaining community function. Burkholderiaceae Bradyrhizobium can considered indicators River. Note network, playing fundamental role interactions, are strongly affected by pollutants. This work provides insights into functions multitrophic communities stability ecosystems through response contamination.
