This study used morphological pattern analysis (MSPA) remote sensing index (RSEI) to identify sources (ESs) in Shanxi section of Yellow River Basin (SYRB). Comprehensive resistance surface is constructed corrected based on weight. The corridor was identified by Linkage Mapper tool, node barrier points were determined basis minimum cost path theory establish security (ESP) SYRB. 108 ESs identified, with a total area 34,157.42 km2. unevenness distribution obvious concentrated areas higher elevations environmental quality. We 243 corridors (ECs), totaling 3,259.44 km. main land use types ECs cultivated land, forest, grassland. Low-resistance mainly distributed central pearl-shaped basin, connecting two major source east west. high-resistance southern part which had highly fragmented at periphery. 41 pinch points, Mianshan Mountain, plays key role energy exchange between ESs. 26 overlapped ECs, obstructed landscape connectivity. A comprehensive "two zones, one belt, three corridors" ESP established, providing solid theoretical support practical guidance future sustainable development enhanced design

Rapid urbanization in the lower Yellow River basin has greatly contributed to socio-economic development of Northern China, but it also exacerbated land use/land cover change, with significant impacts on ecology. Ecological quality is a comprehensive spatial and temporal measure an ecosystem’s elements, structure function, reflecting ecological state under external pressures. However, how change affects during rarely been explored. In this study, Jinan, megacity basin, was taken as typical region, response 2000, 2010 2020 retrieved using remote sensing index. For mixed types, type-decomposition heterogeneity quantification method based abundance index proposed, impact mechanisms were revealed by coupling GeoDetector. The results show that: (1) Farmland built-up areas, dominant primary factors controlling pattern quality. (2) Urban expansion farmland protection policies resulted transfer woodland areas well grassland farmland, which intensified degradation (3) prompted main cause for improvement (4) Although urban implemented parallel, uneven changes 1.4 times expanded area poorer increasingly serious agglomeration effects. This study can provide scientific references conservation high-quality, sustainable cities basin.

Introduction: As the global urbanization process accelerates, contradiction between economic development demands and ecological protection becomes increasingly prominent. Methods: In this study, we simulated evolution of security pattern (ESP) Pingtan Island from 2000 to 2020 by extracting sources using Remote Sensing Ecological Index (RSEI), identifying corridors key nodes combining with Linkage Mapping (LM) Circuit Theory. addition, Geodetector was utilized identify these major determinants affecting RSEI. Results: The results showed 1) From 2020, environmental quality (EEQ) continued improve, mean value RSEI gradually increased 0.47 0.51. 2) Univariate analysis that elevation slope were most significant factors spatial variability RSEI, interaction proportion built-up area having a effect on EEQ. 3) number extent expanded year variability. At same time, range also underwent phase adjustment. 4) Further exploration ESP in identified 32 pinch points (EPPs) 52 barrier (EBPs), which mainly located within or near corridors, indicating areas for future restoration efforts. Discussion: These insights help enhance urban planning ecosystem provide blueprint comparable island environments.

Understanding the ecological security situation of Fuzhou City holds significant theoretical and practical value for government departments in implementing development strategies achieving Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities Communities). Using Data, Information, Knowledge, Wisdom (DIKW) framework, this study combined various remote sensing GIS methods to comprehensively analyze Fuzhou's past, present, future levels. The results showed a strong isotropic cluster city's security. Among influencing factors, degree regional was found have greatest impact, while water body coverage had least. factors are mutually reinforcing. Under natural scenario, area secure level 2020 decreased by 1243.70 km2, under protection it declined 1263.34 km2. In future, is expected face increasing fragmentation. Based on these findings, proposes balance economic City. These recommendations aim provide with relevant data support land resource management contribute high-level
