Ecological safety evaluation is a key tool that reflects changes in the quality of ecological environment and provides scientific basis for land use policies construction. This study used Changbaishan region as area, selected 23 indicators from natural socioeconomic aspects, adopted Driving Force-Pressure-State-Impact-Response-Management (DPSIRM) model, hierarchical analysis entropy value methods to determine weights comprehensively evaluate security wetlands. The results showed increased 0.1754 0.2933 1990–2020 Changbai Mountains moving critical state state. was lower center higher east, north, southwest. In addition, wetlands north recovered faster. During period, driver, response, management indices increased, whereas pressure, state, impact were relatively stable. Mountain has achieved success wetland management, education, environmental protection expenditure, compensation, protection; however, rational planning still needed urbanization, construction development, tourism.

Ecological restoration effectively improves the quality of marine ecological environment and subsequently enhances public's sense enjoyment well‐being. The main objective this paper is to assess preferences regarding attributes quantify extent which meets needs for coastal in Jiaozhou Bay, China. choice experiment (CE) method was used obtain public preferences. To correct potential bias caused by non‐compensatory behavior CE, study utilizes an independent availability logit (IAL) model. results indicate that bay restoration, including nearshore water quality, landscape, space, biodiversity, significantly positively influence residents' utility levels. willingness pay (WTP) improving restoring biological resources, increasing enhancing landscapes 92.02 Chinese Yuan (CNY), 51.80 CNY, 36.60 31.89 CNY per household, respectively. Based on these findings, total WTP Bay 1.54 billion annually. Through comparative analysis estimation between IAL model traditional models, it found helps CE. conclusions can provide data support formulation policies governance as well a reference accuracy validity CE valuation.

Abstract This paper aimed to predict the trend of carbon emissions during green transformation process in Shanghai, with a focus on city’s urban system structure. Green development has become an inevitable progress, as traditional led severe environmental problems caused by large amount dioxide. study was motivated need for cities actively pursue and achieve peaking targets. Through literature analysis, it found that is influenced various factors such economy, energy, population, technology, policy. Furthermore, dioxide primarily arise from fossil fuels are regulated emission trading (CET) policies. With this knowledge, divided, flow analyzed. Using general methodology IPCC, production resulting energy consumption Shanghai 2014 2019 calculated construct dynamic (SD) model, which used expected 2020 2025. The key findings follows: (1) model proved be effective predicting emissions. (2) Based current status city capable achieving its target (3) progress timing vary across different scenarios, highlighting importance collective adjustments identify most appropriate path transformation. These provide valuable insights seeking adopt measures, facilitating acceleration their efforts early attainment

Coordinating the relationship between resources, environmental protection, and economic development is essential for regional sustainable development. Various frameworks models quantifying of natural–social–economic systems have been produced. This paper focused on measuring from perspective consumption production. The study improved emergy indices evaluation system commonly used in method accounting by introducing input output into flows. Then, we proposed new subsystem indexes evaluating analyzing trend complex Liyang 2005 to 2020 adopting entropy weight method. results showed that was generally a state development, with good social sustainability. natural sustainability were low, which might cause unsustainable risks future. From structure production efficiency perspective, secondary industry highest has meager net rate. In contrast, tertiary higher rate (NOR) better efficiency, should be core region’s future impact resource carrying capacity, contribution waste necessary reduced. hopes provide implications formulating land use, industrial planning, policies.

The evaluation of ecosystem quality (EQ) is crucial for sustainable regional development. Existing studies have often focused on a single aspect the EQ, which cannot capture whole picture changes in EQ. Therefore, an urgent need exists to construct comprehensive system EQ and clarify relationship between development level (SDL). This study takes West Liao River Basin as example, constructs index based "pattern-process-service" framework, evaluates analyzes spatial temporal evolution well SDL basin from 2000 2020. also analyzed by combining indicator with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), analyzing watershed its driving mechanism using coupling coordination degree model Geodetector method then exploring strategies management ecosystems. variation area 2020 was found be significant characterized increasing inter-annual changes; regions high tended higher SDLs indicators contributed more than indicators. developed under perspective services, constructed county-scale system, revealed SDL. results can provide decision-making references management. This allows evaluation status these and aids in planning restoration fishery habitats. Utilizing well-known “Pressure-State-Response” framework, comprehensive with 14 indicators was developed. Additionally, analytic hierarchy process entropy weight methods were employed to assess Sansha Bay, representative bay Fujian Province, China. The results revealed variations across four zones 2020, categorized as “good” or “excellent”. However, security more spatially distributed classified from “fair” “safety”. Key critical sustaining included regional environmental risk index, proportion industrial discharge outlets, zooplankton species diversity phytoplankton molar ratio phosphorus nitrogen, size nature reserves. According assessments ecological security, vigorous endeavors aquatic ecology are paramount ensure enduring sustainability aquaculture, emphasis on Zoning 1 4. These findings not only enhance expand assessing but also provide scientific basis conservation habitats green, high-quality development industry Bay.
