Under the dual pressures of rapid urbanization and intensifying global climate change, China has proposed governance policies aimed at promoting ecological urban construction. Wetland landscapes play a key role in sustaining human social well-being. As significant city middle reaches Yangtze River, Wuhan’s wetland resources an irreplaceable maintaining regional balance sustainable economic development. However, poses severe challenge to service functions wetlands. Consequently, this study, we analyzed spatial–temporal evolution patterns sub-functional systems carbon sequestration, biodiversity conservation, water yield, purification five types Wuhan City from 2000 2020 by using CASA model InVEST model. Then, multi-functional assessment framework was constructed quantify comprehensive multi-function score. It is imperative unravel underlying mechanisms driving changes explore equilibrium point between conservation Our results show that area decreased 5077.33 km2 4696.60 2020, multi-functions exhibited spatial heterogeneity 2020. sequestration increased 0.94 Tg 1.11 The habitat quality declined 0.13 0.11 production wetlands 5.43 × 109 t 22.59 N loss 55,850.58 49,209.93 highest score paddy fields, which 0.41 ± 0.12 0.51 0.12, followed tidal flats, 0.39 0.14 0.50 0.16, lowest rivers, also 0.33 0.14. closely related type development direction over past two decades, it negatively correlated with living density, providing new ideas for protection construction City.

The ecosystem service value (ESV) is an important basis for measuring ecological environment’s quality and the efficient management of ecosystems. It particularly necessary to explore a proven methodology assessing predicting ESV dynamics coupled with policy-oriented scenarios that can provide theoretical groundwork macro decision, in context implementing protection restoration projects. This study selected land cover (LC) Sichuan Province at five periods spatiotemporal dynamic equivalent factor method assess ESVs from 2000 2020. Additionally, Markov chain GeoSOS-FLUS model, predicted future pattern under four development scenarios. results show (a) areas forests, shrubs, waters, wastelands, wetlands, impervious showed continuous increase 2020, most frequent interchanges occurring among croplands, grasslands. (b) implementation projects led 13,083.32 × 108 yuan ESV, barycenter located northeastern part Ya’an exhibits tendency move towards northeast. (c) aggregation each city has remained unchanged, Ganzi being only high aggregation. Overall, there are more conflict cities than coordination between economic environment. (d) total 2025 will continue all scenarios, reaching maximum 50,903.37 EP scenario. insights planning decisions sustainable regional socio-economic development.

Wetlands play a key role in maintaining the ecological security and sustainable economic development for Beijing, capital city of China. However, dynamic changes on wetland ecosystem service values (ESV) Beijing over past decades remain unknown. In this research, we analyzed changing trend, evolution types their driving factors wetlands ESV based statistical data from 1984 to 2020 with trend test gray correlation. The results revealed that showed remarkable increasing trend. were not set stone. Although proportion regulation services value decreased by about one-third, it was still dominant (ES) type Beijing. More importantly, socioeconomic most considerable influence ESV, followed human activities, natural had least impact.
