From 2019, life in the world has mainly been determined by successive waves of COVID-19 epidemic. During this time, virus structure, action, short- and long-term effects infection were discovered, treatments developed. This epidemic undoubtedly affected people's lives, but increasing attention is also being paid to on environment. Following PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-analyses) guidelines, a global scoping review peer-reviewed information conducted use over-the-counter non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs treatment symptoms SARS-CoV-2 infections their positive negative human body, (NSAIDs) aquatic organisms, adverse non-target organisms. The literature from 1998 2021 was analysed using Scopus®, Web Science™ (WoS) Google Scholar databases. As place heavy burden environment, all reports presence these environment during pandemic period have thoroughly analysed. Of 70 records within scope, only 14% (n = 10) focussed analysis concentrations wastewater surface waters period. percentage works indicates that it still an open topic, issue should be supplemented with further which results obtained pandemic, going several years, will published. authors hope inspire scientists investigate problem protect them next generation.

This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the application bacterial and fungal laccases for removal pharmaceuticals from environment. Laccases were evaluated their efficacy in degrading pharmaceutical substances across various categories, including analgesics, antibiotics, antiepileptics, antirheumatic drugs, cytostatics, hormones, anxiolytics, sympatholytics. The capability degrade or biotransform these drugs was found be dependent on structural characteristics. formation di-, oligo- polymers parent compound has been observed using laccase mediator system (LMS), which is advantageous terms via commonly used processes wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). Notably, certain such as tetracycline antibiotics estrogen hormones exhibited degradation even mineralization when subjected treatment. Employing enzyme pretreatment mitigated toxic effects products compared drug. However, utilizing LMS, careful selection essential prevent potential increases environment toxicity. demonstrate efficiency within WWTPs, operating efficiently under WWTP conditions without necessitating isolation.

Active pharmaceutical ingredients present a substantial risk when they reach the environment and drinking water sources. As new type of dangerous pollutants with high chemical resistance pronounced biological effects, accumulate everywhere, often in significant concentrations (μg/L) ecological environments, food chains, organs farm animals humans, cause an intense response from aquatic soil microbiota. Rhodococcus spp. ( Actinomycetia class), which occupy dominant position polluted ecosystems, stand out among other microorganisms greatest variety degradable participate natural attenuation, are considered as active agents transforming degrading impacts on compounds. Many representatives rhodococci promising unique sources specific enzymes, quorum quenching tools, products novel antimicrobials, biosurfactants nanostructures. The review presents latest knowledge current trends regarding use processes pollutants’ biodegradation, well fields biocatalysis biotechnology for production targeted products. literature presented can be helpful future research programs aimed at promoting potential biodegraders biotransformers to control pollution environment.
