Gross ecosystem product (GEP) refers to the direct measurement of a region's supply capabilities and basis for value realisation. China has made clear arrangements establishing GEP assessment regulations, with 36 districts counties currently conducting assessment, which 24 have executed dual assessments regional gross domestic (GDP) GEP. To explore influence on common prosperity urban rural regions, this study conducts quasi-natural experiment using staggered difference-in-differences model examine data from 1946 2012 2022. The results reveal that can significantly reduce urban-rural income gap improve residents' income, thereby realising prosperity. Further analysis indicates promotes faster growth residents narrowing between through enhanced government attention, fiscal support, green finance, agricultural development. impact is obviously heterogeneous. ability promote stronger in key ecological function areas, strong capacity high public environmental concern. Improving corporate ESG performance is regarded as a useful means to promote low-carbon transformation. Based on executive echelon theory, this study uses textual analysis identify the executives’ environmental background characteristics and explores impact company’s performance, using data China’s A-share listed companies from 2009 2021.
