This
study
aims
to
elucidate
the
profound
implications
of
industrial
transformation
and
upgrading
in
mitigating
dependence
on
fossil
fuels,
which
holds
paramount
significance
shaping
energy
transition
strategies—an
aspect
that
is
currently
missing
existing
studies.
Leveraging
data
spanning
from
2000
2020,
encompassing
consumption
economic
development,
this
paper
developed
a
second-order
classification
model
as
new
measure
elasticity.
Comparing
regional
variations
resilience,
an
in-depth
analysis
was
conducted
four
representative
provinces
understand
evolution
their
structures
over
time.

impact
reduction

results
indicate
distinct
spatial
effect,

southwest
inland
region
retaining
pronounced
reliance

80%
have
made
substantial
progress

dependence,
while
exhibits
opposite
effect.

agglomeration

narrowing
gap
