Abstract A novel approach to enhance the shock vibration environment of multi-directions using a high-static-low-dynamic stiffness supported orthogonal six-degrees-of-freedom (DOFs) nonlinear isolation (OSNVI) system is presented in this paper. By combining spring positive and magnetic negative stiffness, proposed achieves stiffness. Under half-sine vibration, dynamic equation OSNVI obtained. Both static analysis methods are utilized explore effect various parameters on performance from both time frequency domains. The results indicate that can efficiently suppress multi-direction shocks at cost only one second. Although jump usually not expected, could improve load capacity by increasing without changing band. Finally, experiment employed through three-axis shaker platform validate six-DOF isolator. provides promising multi-directional vibrations.

Multi-directional low-frequency vibration isolation is an unavoidable problem in many practical engineering scenarios. However, to date, most works are unable achieve this goal, and those that can do so only some degree, but their structure complex large, limiting the range of applications engineering. Here, we propose a kind quasi-zero stiffness (QZS) metamaterial constructed from series Kresling-pattern origami-inspired structures, whose simple topology with reasonable design parameters obtain expected QZS features. Moreover, decoupling strategy adopted by proposed metamaterials allows for independent motion adjacent unit cells, resulting improvement controllability programmability. We demonstrate, both simulations experiments, process multi-directional characteristics metamaterial. This study provides method realizing isolation, expanding application potential broader needs.
