Poly(lactic acid) (PLA)-based nanofibrous membranes (NFMs) hold great potential in the field of biodegradable filters for air purification but are largely limited by relatively low electret properties and high susceptibility to bacteria. Herein, we disclosed a facile approach fabrication electroactive antibacterial PLA NFMs impregnated with highly dielectric photocatalyst. In particular, microwave-assisted doping (MAD) protocol was employed yield Zn-doped titanium dioxide (Zn-TIO), featuring well-defined anatase phase, uniform size ∼65 nm, decreased band gap (3.0 eV). The incorporation Zn-TIO (2, 6, 10 wt %) into gave rise significant refinement electrospun nanofibers, decreasing from highest diameter 581 nm pure lowest value 264 nm. More importantly, dramatical improvements constants, surface potential, were simultaneously achieved composite NFMs, as exemplified nearly 94% increase 3-day-aged PLA/Zn-TIO (90/10) compared that PLA. well regulation morphological features promotion electroactivity contributed distinct filtration performance, demonstrated 98.7% PM0.3 quality factor 0.032 Pa–1 at airflow velocity 32 L/min (94/6), surpassing (89.4%, 0.011 Pa–1). Benefiting effective generation reactive radicals gradual release Zn2+ Zn-TIO, ready profoundly inactivate Escherichia coli Staphylococcus epidermidis. exceptional combination remarkable excellent performance makes membrane promising healthcare.

Bioaerosols are more likely to accumulate in the residential environment, and long-term inhalation may lead a variety of diseases allergies. Here, we studied distribution, influencing factors diffusion characteristics indoor outdoor microbiota pollution six buildings Guangzhou, southern China over period one year. The results showed that particle sizes bioaerosol were mainly range inhalable size (<4.7 μm) with small difference among four seasons (74.61 % ± 2.17 %). microbial communities obvious seasonal differences high abundance summer, but no geographical differences. Among them, bacteria abundant than fungi. dominant microbes environments similar, Anoxybacillu, Brevibacillus Acinetobacter as bacteria, Cladosporium, Penicillium Alternaria airborne microbiomes sensitive temperature particulate matter (PM2.5, PM10) concentrations. Based on Sloan neutral model, prone random fungi, microbiome can be randomly distributed between two each season. Bioaerosol was from outdoor. health risk evaluation risks higher those air purifier had better removal efficiency 1.1–4.7 μm microorganisms, Gram-negative Gram-positive bacteria. This study is great significance for assessment control exposure.

Bioaerosols produced during animal production have potential adverse effects on the health of workers and animals. Our objective was to investigate characteristics, antibiotic-resistance genes (ARGs), risks bioaerosols in various barns. Poultry swine barns had high concentrations airborne bacteria (11156 10917 CFU/m3, respectively). Acinetobacter, Clostridium sensu stricto, Corynebacterium, Pseudomonas, Psychrobacter, Streptococcus, Staphylococcus were dominant pathogenic barns, with Firmicutes being most abundant bacterial phylum. Based linear discriminant analysis effect size (LEfSe), there more discriminative biomarkers cattle than poultry or although latter highest abundance pathogens abundances ARGs (including tetM, tetO, tetQ, tetW sul1, sul2, ermA, ermB) intI1). network analyses, higher co-occurrence patterns between bioaerosol from Furthermore, these relative samples greatly affected by environmental factors, mainly temperature, humidity, CO2, NH3, PM2.5. This study provided novel data regarding bio-contaminants enclosures an impetus improve management reduce impacts humans
