Graphene oxide (GO) exhibits a strong adsorption capacity for the removal of heavy metal ions from liquids, making it topic increasing interest among researchers. However, significant challenge persists in preparation graphene oxide-based adsorbents that possess both high structural stability and excellent capacity. In this paper, green environmentally friendly ternary composite aerogel based on was successfully synthesized. The enhanced through diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid modification, while incorporation carboxymethyl cellulose improved liquid. demonstrates robust interactions between its components features multiscale porous structure. Adsorption tests conducted with Pb(II) revealed GO/DTPA/CMC (GDC) favorable study kinetics isotherms indicated process follows quasi-secondary model Freundlich model, suggesting chemical multilayer mechanism, maximum 521.917 mg/g quasi-quadratic kinetic fitting. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyses, performed before after adsorption, confirmed primarily occurs chelation, complexation, proton exchange, electrostatic active sites such as hydroxyl carboxyl groups. This presents an innovative strategy simultaneously enhancing properties aerogels ensuring solution stability.
