Nanocomposites are an emerging technology for ensuring food safety and quality. Their unique properties, attributed to nanoparticle presence, facilitate the development of sophisticated sensors biosensors detecting harmful substances, microbial growth, environmental changes in products. Smart and/or active packaging also benefits from use nanocomposites. This packaging, or portions it, provide protection its contents serve as promptly, simply, safely identify any detrimental stored food, without elaborate techniques analyses. Films made potato starch chitosan were produced quantum dots zinc sulfide (ZnS) cadmium (CdS)were synthesized them this study. The presence dimensions QDs (quantum dots) examined with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) ultraviolet-visible (UV-VIS) spectroscopy. study aimed establish toxicity profile a starch-chitosan bionanocomposite integrated ZnS CdS dots. Cytotoxic genotoxic features assessed through cytogenetic instability assessments, consisting alkaline comet assay, erythrocyte micronucleus peripheral blood cell viability analysis laboratory mouse model.
