Gellan gum (GG) is a linear, negatively charged exopolysaccharide that biodegradable and non-toxic. When metallic ions are present, hard transparent gel produced, which remains stable at low pH. It exhibits high water solubility, can be easily bio-fabricated, demonstrates excellent film/hydrogel formation, biodegradable, shows biocompatibility. These characteristics render GG suitable option for use in food, biomedical, cosmetic fields. Thus, this review paper offers concise summary of microbial polysaccharides. Moreover, an in-depth investigation trends different facets GG, such as biosynthesis, chemical composition, physical properties, emphasized. In addition, highlights the process extracting purifying GG. Furthermore, discussion advantages disadvantages concerning other polysaccharides presented. utilization across industries, medicine, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, etc., thoroughly examined will greatly benefit individuals involved field who seeking fresh opportunities innovative projects future.

Carbohydrates, among the most abundant and widespread biomolecules in nature, play indispensable roles diverse biological functions represent a treasure trove of untapped potential for pharmaceutical applications. From this perspective, present study was designed to explore evaluate synthesis spectral characterization methyl α-D-glucopyranoside derivatives 2-6 with different aliphatic groups through comprehensive vitro antimicrobial screening, physicochemical analysis, molecular docking dynamics pharmacokinetic prediction. The unimolar one-step propionylation under controlled conditions furnished 6-O-propionyl derivative 2 development glucoopyranoside-based derivatives, which were further converted into four newer 2,3,4-tri-O-glucopyranoside (3-6) reasonably good yields. chemical structures newly synthesized analogs ascertained by analyzing their physicochemical, elemental, FTIR, NMR spectroscopic data. In tests against five bacteria two fungi indicated promising antibacterial functionality these compared antifungal activity. Structure-activity relationship (SAR) analysis that adding lauroyl> stearoyl > palmitoyl ribose moiety increased potency bacterial fungal strains. support observation, experiments performed on 3TI6 H1N1 receptor 6VMZ H5N1 receptor. Molecular interactions solvents investigated terms FMO, HOMO-LUMO, MEP properties. addition, 100 ns simulation process monitor behavior complex structure formed silico physiological examine its stability over time, revealed stable conformation binding pattern stimulating environment derivatives. Pharmacokinetic predictions absorption, distribution, metabolism toxic properties, combination drug-likeness has shown results silico.
