Summary Weight stigma, defined as pervasive misconceptions and stereotypes associated with higher body weight, is both a social determinant of health human rights issue. It imperative to consider how weight stigma may be impeding promotion efforts on global scale. The World Obesity Federation (WOF) convened working group practitioners, researchers, policymakers, youth advocates, individuals lived experience obesity the ways that narratives contribute stigma. Specifically, focused overall narratives, food physical activity scientific public‐facing language impact across lifespan was also considered. Taking perspective, nine recommendations resulted from this work for research can help reduce harmful inside outside contexts.

The improved efficacy and generally favorable safety profile of recently approved emerging antiobesity medications (AOMs), which result in an average weight reduction ≥15%, represent significant advancement the treatment obesity. This narrative review aims to provide practical evidence-based recommendations for nutritional assessment, management, monitoring patients treated with AOMs. Prior treatment, clinicians can identify preexisting risk factors counsel their on recommended intakes protein, dietary fiber, micronutrients, fluids. During AOMs, ongoing facilitate early recognition management gastrointestinal symptoms or inadequate nutrient fluid intake. To explore the impact of obesity on clinical outcomes, health-related quality life, emotional well-being, and work productivity in people/patients with across six countries by body mass index presence complications. Adelphi Real World Obesity Disease Specific Programme™ captured data related to physicians their consulting a weight management program or anti-obesity medication Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, Kingdom Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates from April December 2022. Overall, 82% had ⩾1 complication (median interquartile range: 2.0 (1.0-3.0)). struggled mean SD 64.1 86.6 months median (interquartile range) 3.0 (2.0-5.0) weight-loss attempts.
