Abstract Energy poverty is a prevalent subject in Pakistan, and reducing it will accelerate the pace towards reaching targets of sustainable development goal 7 carbon neutrality. Workers' remittances have proved to be major income source not clear how they can channeled improve energy access consumption eradicate poverty. Therefore, this study designed investigate impact considering both weak (energy consumption) strong (Multi‐Dimensional Poverty Index [MDEPI]) forms Data from 1990 2020 were gathered analyzed using dynamic‐ARDL simulations understand empirical outcomes. The outcomes show that effectively reduce MDEPI with −0.056 coefficient. results reveal through channel (−1.569); however, relationship ineffective Pakistan. In case form poverty, supported idea individually investment channels alleviate policies should promoted legally initiatives, which build vacuum for solutions eradication

Abstract Incompatible with the pioneering role of transportation sector in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, this research mainly deals GHG emissions from transport sector. In context, study looks at four leading European Union (EU) countries (i.e., Germany, France, Italy, and Spain), investigates their sub‐types aviation, rail, road), uses environmental taxes (ETAX) as main explanatory variable bivariate modeling, considers biofuel consumption (BIO) a control factor multivariate modeling. The monthly data between 2004 2022, quantile‐on‐quantile regression well, Granger causality‐in‐quantiles approaches. results demonstrate that (i) ETAX is completely inefficient on aviation road emissions; (ii) curbs rail France only middle quantiles; (iii) moderating impact BIO, becomes effective declining (iv) BIO has certainly reversing nexus emissions. Overall, highlights stand‐alone ineffective curbing but certain contribution manner. Thus, strongly recommends taking further actions, such more use case study, to support practices combating for EU countries.

Published: Dec. 13, 2024

Considering data conversion practices in empirical research, this research investigates the role of on prediction results United States (USA), where yearly and monthly energy-related carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions source-based energy consumption is available, which makes USA an appropriate case for analysis. In context, study considers CO as dependent variable, uses use indicators explanatory drivers, performs cointegration regression (CR) approaches datasets between 1989/1 2023/12, consist original series (MOS), converted by quadratic-average-approach (MCSQA), quadratic-average-sum (MCSQS). The reveal that (i) increases R values improves goodness fit criteria models, training testing are above 96%; (ii) causes a change coefficients variables. While direction variables changes from MOS to MCSQA MCSQS, it same across but p-values slightly differentiate; (iii) dynamic OLS approach has highest performance among applied; (iv) importance differentiate. Overall, empirically demonstrates increasing varying impact results. Accordingly, discusses benefit predictions, policymakers can capacity prevent incorrect
