The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries are rapidly growing in population with very limited access to freshwater resources. To overcome this challenge, seawater desalination is proposed as an effective solution, most MENA have easy saline water. However, processes massive demand for energy, which mostly met by fossil fuel-driven power plants. rapid technological advancements renewable energy technologies, along their gradually decreasing cost place energy-driven plants a promising alternative conventional fuel-powered plants. In the current work, energy-powered region investigated. Various technologies resources, particularly those available discussed. A detailed discussion of suitable storage incorporation into systems also included. The progress made implementing summarized analyzed describing overall trend giving recommendations potential amalgamation energies (REs) technologies. Finally, case study region, Al Khafji solar reverse osmosis (SWRO) plant Kingdom Saudi Arabia KSA, used demonstrate implementation REs drive processes.

In the present study, cooling of a photovoltaic (PV) panel using phase change material (PCM) paraffin wax RT-42 attached to back surface is experimentally investigated. Two identical PV panels having maximum electrical generated power 40 W are employed perform outdoor experiments: reference (PVr) and another integrated with PCM (PV-PCM). The current implementation conducted different thicknesses (1, 2, 3 cm) varying tilt angle at 15°, 20°, 25°, 30°. infrared thermal camera used record temperature distribution over front PVr PV-PCM panels. Results indicate that highest appeared upper portion panels, whereas lower part shows lowest distribution. At 15ᴼ, panel's top side higher than bottom by 17.1%, 15.7%, 13.2% for thickness 1, and, cm, respectively. There also enhancement in output 15.8% cm Relatedly, elevating from 15° 30° improves efficiency 7.4%. Finally, enhances 14.4% compared
