Chlorella sp. and Spirulina (Arthrospira) account for over 90% of the global microalgal biomass production represent one most promising aquiculture bioeconomy systems. These microorganisms have been widely recognized their nutritional therapeutic properties; therefore, a significant growth market is expected, especially in nutraceutical, food, beverage segments. However, recent advancements biotechnology environmental science led to emergence new applications these microorganisms. This paper aims explore innovative applications, while shedding light on roles sustainable development, health, industry. From this state-of-the art review, it was possible give an in-depth outlook sustainability For instance, there variety studies reported use two wastewater treatment biofuel production, contributing climate change mitigation efforts. Moreover, health sector, richness microalgae photosynthetic pigments bioactive compounds, along with oxygen-releasing capacity, are being harnessed development drugs, wound-healing dressings, photosensitizers photodynamic therapy, tissue engineering, anticancer treatments. Furthermore, industrial used biopolymers, fuel cells, photovoltaic technologies. might bring different outlets valorization, enhancing potential, since sector presents issues such as high costs. Thus, further research highly needed fully benefits potential various sectors.

Conventional petroleum-based lubricant resources are depleting rapidly, and their utilization severely threatens the environment. Environmental sustainability emphasizes need for an alternative to petroleum resources. The lubricants play a significant role in machinery's adequate energy-saving performance. Therefore, tribological aspects of maximum efficiency should be considered. current study reviews part bio-lubricants towards environmental sustainability. This review has been conducted according PRISMA approach, where sources bio-lubricants, performance, additives nanoparticles, benefits disadvantages, production techniques, economic aspects, future scope were explored discussed. Bio-lubricants possess better viscosity index, lubricity, biodegradability, non-toxic renewable nature than lubricants. However, lower thermo-oxidative stability higher pour points due moisture content require further improvements. Food security is another concern bio-lubricants. Consequently, it emphasized importance algae-based bio-lubricant reducing threat food security, water purification, greenhouse gas mitigation. Further improvements optimization methods required increase yield rates promote new (algae-based) bio substitutes with details physicochemical properties sustainable highlighted this research.

The current study assesses Bischofia javanica Blume's potential as novel non-edible seed oil for environmentally benign biodiesel production using phyto-nanocatalyst, i.e., green nanoparticles (NPs) of zirconium oxide (ZrO2) synthesized with aqueous leaf extract the same plant via biological method. Using response surface methods, maximum yield (95.8 wt.%) was obtained at a 1:6 oil-to-methanol molar ratio, 2.5 wt.% catalyst loading, 70 °C reaction temperature and 2 h time. In addition, advanced analytical techniques such Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) scanning electron microscopy (SEM) energy dispersive (EDX) were used to characterize nanoparticles. Six peaks in GC–MS spectrum identified, showing presence six different methyl esters palmitate, linoleate, oleate, stearate, linolenate 11-eicosenoate. 1HNMR 13CNMR confirmed high conversion group distinct 3.649 ppm 174.19 ppm. Biodiesel prepared from has fuel qualities that meet international standards. Fuel properties found analogous standards viz. ASTM EN. These include flash point (80 °C), density 15 (0.8623 kg/L), kinematic viscosity (5.32 mm2/s), cloud (−11 pour (−8 °C) sulphur content 0.00047 wt.%. results indicate nanocatalyst appear be highly reliable cost-effective candidates producing sustainable eco-friendly overcome crises climatic deteriorations, which would assist shift linear circular economy.
