Abstract With the rapid expansion of flexible electronics, there is an urgent need for sustainable production methods that enhance device performance while minimizing environmental impact. This work presents innovative, green approach fabricating flexible, patterned electrodes via electric field-driven self-organization conductive fibers onto substrates. By applying high voltage to both dispensing nozzle and underlying printed circuit board substrate, system leverages controlled fields direct fiber jets with precision, eliminating conventional masking techniques. The composition-polyethylene oxide integrated silver nanoparticles-provides conductivity compatibility. streamlined technique notably reduces material usage, processing time, chemical waste. Practical demonstrations involve construction humidity temperature sensors, achieving a low sheet resistance near 10 Ω sq −1 , attesting method’s functional viability. process ensures precise alignment consistent deposition, paving way its integration into sensor applications. study underscores potential field manipulation revolutionize coating processes scalable in electronics.

Abstract When the variety of synthetic polymers came up in 20th century, they expectedly replaced many fiber materials which were made so far from biopolymers since ancient times (e.g., for textiles, medical products, etc.). Meanwhile, to some extent, there is a strong revival various fibers regarding their utilization applications, based on interesting structures, availability, sustainability, costs, and other factors. Regarding bioeconomy has thus been an intensive market dynamic biopolymers. Therefore, especially have recently described that are different as, e.g., polysaccharides biopolyesters. For this, enhanced polymer structure modification sophisticated processing methods applied. Instead complete comprehensive overview (which would be beyond scope this Perspective format), aim article elucidate selected recent advantages field focus special features these examples.
