Every year, the global food industry produces a significant number of wastes and by-products from variety sources. By-products food-processing sector are produced in large quantities, because their undesirable qualities, they frequently wasted, losing important resources. In order to pursue circular economy that refers waste reduction effective management, valorization recently received increased interest. rich bioactive compounds can be used various industrial applications for health promotion nutritional benefits. A novel step its sustainable application is use these inexpensive agri-food create value-added products. The present review intended summarize different types agro-industrial properties highlight composition potential Applications foods as well sustainability implications products were also covered. According research, added increase profile, fiber content, antioxidant capacity while maintaining good sensory acceptability. Overall, chain consumer both benefit formulation.

Abstract Date palm ( Phoenix dactylifera L.) fruit is one of the ancient crops that have been cultivated for thousands years in arid regions Middle East and North Africa. Its nutritional economic importance has extended cultivation to other countries with suitable environmental conditions. Despite large expansion date associated improvement its yield quality over last few decades, challenges remain sustainability. Here, we review: (1) current status cultivation, (2) key soil‐related factors influencing productivity, (3) under global change addition assessing future potentials improvements The production increased by 18% during ten years, reaching 8.53 million tons, on a total area 1.11 ha. Water scarcity salinity stresses are major constraints affecting which serious issue regions, where water resources becoming depleted soil increasingly salinized due limited rainfall, high evapotranspiration, incorrect irrigation. Although can tolerate up 12 dS m −1 , accumulation salts strongly reduces yield. main areas dominated soils sandy texture pH low capacity nutrient retention. Organic fertilizers increase There lack long‐term studies (e.g., ≥10 years) designed monitor cultivar responses abiotic as well nutrition management practices. Future facing mainly include shortages, extremely temperatures, salinity, degradation, diseases pests. implementation efficient practices, including modern irrigation systems, selecting cultivars most local conditions, increasing retention, help sustain productivity.

Abstract Hypertension, or high blood pressure (BP), is a complex disease influenced by various risk factors. It characterized persistent elevation of BP levels, typically exceeding 140/90 mmHg. Endothelial dysfunction and reduced nitric oxide (NO) bioavailability play crucial roles in hypertension development. L‐NG‐nitro arginine methyl ester (L‐NAME), an analog L‐arginine, inhibits endothelial NO synthase (eNOS) enzymes, leading to decreased production increased BP. Animal models exposed L‐NAME manifest hypertension, making it useful design for studying the condition. Natural products have gained interest as alternative approaches managing hypertension. Flavonoids, abundant fruits, vegetables, other plant sources, potential cardiovascular benefits, including antihypertensive effects. Flavonoids been extensively studied cell cultures, animal models, and, lesser extent, human trials evaluate their effectiveness against L‐NAME‐induced This comprehensive review summarizes activity specific flavonoids, quercetin, luteolin, rutin, troxerutin, apigenin, chrysin, models. possess antioxidant properties that mitigate oxidative stress, major contributor They enhance function promoting bioavailability, vasodilation, preservation vascular homeostasis. also modulate vasoactive factors involved regulation, such angiotensin‐converting enzyme (ACE) endothelin‐1. Moreover, they exhibit anti‐inflammatory effects, attenuating inflammation‐mediated provides compelling evidence flavonoids Their multifaceted mechanisms action suggest ability target multiple pathways Nonetheless, reviewed studies contribute supporting prevention treatment. In conclusion, represent promising class natural compounds combating serves valuable resource summarizing current knowledge on effects facilitating further investigation guiding development novel therapeutic strategies management.
