Acanthopanax senticosus (ASC) contains a variety of bioactive compounds and serves as an important traditional Chinese medicinal resource. However, its prolonged growth cycle reliance on wild populations limit practical use. To explore the potential sessiliflorus (ASF) alternative, this study focused optimizing extraction process assessing bioactivity stem extracts. The Analytic Hierarchy Process-Entropy Weight Method (AHP-EWM) was applied to comprehensively score five key active in ASF stems, establishing benchmark for evaluating efficiency. Ultrasound-assisted enzymatic (UAEE) employed, orthogonal response surface experiments were conducted refine parameters. optimal conditions identified ultrasound temperature 59 °C, duration 57 min, ethanol concentration 61%, liquid-to-material ratio 39:1, resulting AHP-EWM composite 94.76. Comparative analysis antibacterial antioxidant activities revealed that ASC extracts exhibited superior effects, while demonstrated enhanced properties. These findings support partial replacement with ASF, contributing conservation resources expanding application development.

The immobilized κ-carrageenase MCNF was developed by synergistic integration of κ-carrageenase, calcium phosphate crystals, and magnetic nanoparticles. outperformed free in terms optimal temperature, thermostability (45–55 °C), stability (pH 6.0 12.0), storage stability. Furthermore, extremely reusable easy to separate from the reaction system. MCNF's enzymatic breakdown κ-carrageenan resulted a tetrasaccharide that competitively inhibited pancreatic lipase (PL). Fluorescence titration experiments showed altered microenvironment PL causing static bursting its intrinsic fluorescence. circular dichroism experiment demonstrated adding reduced α-helix content increased β-sheet PL's secondary structure. Molecular docking dynamics simulation research suggested could form stable complex with PL, entering hydrophobic cavity occupying active site, reducing catalytic activity. κ-Carrageenan inhibit making it promising therapeutic agent for obesity prevention treatment.

To minimize waste and maximize the utilization of wild Rosa roxburghii Tratt fruits, quality characteristics soluble dietary fiber (SDF) extracted from fruits sourced ten regions were assessed in this study through an in-depth analysis. This analysis included evaluation chemical composition, physicochemical properties, structural elucidation, antioxidant capacity, functional properties yogurt applications. Communally, these SDFs are acidic heteropolysaccharides mainly composed glucose, galacturonic acid, galactose, arabinose, rhamnose, all them showed infrared spectrum high molecular weight (Mw) polysaccharides. Meanwhile, results indicated significant regional variations SDF. Specifically, SDF region LP possessed highest arabinose glucose ratio (75.63%), Mw (312.488 kDa) diffraction intensity. While AZ lowest sugar content (41.57%) intensity, but swelling capacity (1.02 mL/g) emulsion stability (41.90%). Furthermore, ZS revealed (149.476 kDa), total protein (8.61%) oil-holding (1.63 g/g), (58.63%). Additionally, foaming DPPH free radical scavenging ability TR significantly superior to those other (p < 0.05), BD was also similar terms ABTS rate proportion. SDFs' differences surface morphological features application observed. These findings provide essential data for further exploration enhancement its fiber.

BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori (H. ) is a prevalent pathogen associated with various diseases. Cholelithiasis also common condition. H. infection has been identified in the biliary system, suggesting its potential involvement However, specific role of development cholelithiasis remains inconclusive. AIM To investigate association between and cholelithiasis. METHODS We performed retrospective study more than 70000 subjects health examination center from 3 institutions middle, northern eastern China, October 2018 to December 2021, explore through univariate multivariate analysis. Meanwhile, influence on biliary-related parameters was investigated. A comprehensive analysis previous studies concerned about executed. RESULTS In our multi-center study, positively [odds ratio (OR) = 1.103, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.001-1.216, P 0.049]. Furthermore, patients had less total direct bilirubin uninfected patients, while cholesterol low-density lipoprotein were -positive participants (P < 0.05). published articles, cohort indicated risk factor (hazard =1.3280, 95%CI: 1.1810-1.4933, 0.0001). The pooled results case-control cross-sectional showed positive Asia (OR 1.5993, 1.0353-2.4706, 0.034) but not Europe 1.2770, 0.8446-1.9308, 0.246). Besides, related higher choledocholithiasis/cholecystolithiasis 3.3215, 1.1034-9.9986, 0.033). CONCLUSION correlated cholelithiasis, choledocholithiasis phenotype particularly, especially Asia, which may be relevant bilirubin/cholesterol metabolism. Cohort confirm an increased patients.
