College students represent a unique population of adults, who may be more likely to experience food insecurity due their transient circumstances, limited access resources, and increased educational expenses. But little is known about how college households mitigate insecurity, particularly during crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic. The Household Observations Meals Environments (HOME) Study described in US utilized multilevel including an on-campus pantry, maintain security A convenience sample (n = 18) were recruited from pantry provided quantitative qualitative data through online surveys in-depth Zoom interviews. Survey analyzed describe sociodemographic characteristics. In-depth interviews recorded, transcribed, coded, thematically identify emergent themes. Food pantries are an integral part of the food security safety net and were designed to distribute emergency alleviate short-term hunger. Given many rely on assistance long-term, may no longer meet nutritional needs typical pantry user. Less is known about extent college students use campus whether they seek ongoing support. A comprehensive analysis use, including reach, awareness, student satisfaction was conducted using a cross-sectional survey, observational data from logs collected August 2020 May 2022. During first year operation, 20.6% aware pantry, 3.1% reached, high. About half users visited once, while 15.4% 8 or more times during academic year. On average, that had larger span (6.5 months), frequently (2 weeks between visits), likely be graduate older. While most used in short-term, chronic increased 1 2.
